Overview
The Novation Launchpad Pro MK3 is an advanced MIDI controller and grid instrument that creates dynamic, expressive musical performances. Designed for Ableton Live 10, the Launchpad Pro will work equally as well with any DAW or hardware MIDI device. The enhanced RGB LED backlit pads are velocity- and pressure-sensitive and provide fluid expression and creativity to production and performance. The layout is designed to keep your focus on the performance by easily and immediately applying effects, changing between mixer controls, and switching between four key modes including Session, Note, Device, and User.
The Session mode gives direct access to triggering clips, while the Note mode allows for the creation of dynamic beats and offers the ability to play the grid as an instrument with its chromatic keyboard display. The device mode provides access to any instrument or device parameters for easy real-time control and performance. The User mode is designed for custom performance layouts for software and hardware alike. There are dedicated buttons to control record arm, track select, mute, solo, volume, pan, sends, and stop clips. Additionally, there are dedicated function controls including click, undo, delete, quantize, duplicate, and double. One-click access to Ableton Live's Capture MIDI function makes sure you never miss an idea.
Keep your tracks evolving with the four-track, eight-note polyphonic, 32-step standalone sequencer. Sequence virtual instruments and instantly print patterns to Clips in Ableton Live. Or hook up your favorite hardware to play patterns via MIDI, as Launchpad Pro integrates seamlessly. Micro Steps take grooves off-grid. Probability, Mutate, Sync Rate and Play Order let you transform your patterns on the fly. Patterns can be chained together and assigned to Scenes to build complete songs. The mixer offers control of all volume, pan, and effects sends and is velocity sensitive, allowing for smooth transitions or instantaneous changes depending on how hard a pad is played.
Launchpad Pro is your music-making creativity hub, with or without a computer. Hook Launchpad Pro into an all-hardware rig using MIDI In, Out, and Out 2 / Thru ports on 3.5mm connectors. The Launchpad is bus powered but may also be powered by the included AC adapter for standalone operation. The Launchpad Pro MK3 ships with Ableton Live Lite, the AAS Session Bundle, XLN Addictive Keys, Klevgrand R0Verb and DAW Cassette plugins, Softube Time and Tone Bundle, and the Sound Collective, which offers new, free plugins every couple of months. A 2-month Splice Sounds membership is also included.

If you already have Ableton Live it must be version 10 or greater to work with Launchpad Pro. We recommend that you update to the latest version as previous versions of Ableton Live do not include Launchpad Pro integration with Live. Launchpad Pro will also work as a standard MIDI controller.
