Akai Professional EWI4000S Wind Controller w/soft gig case - Fresh Stock Dated February 2026

As a longtime professional sax player, I can tell you it's been a joy to have discovered the EWI4000s because all I ever had available was the sound of my alto or tenor saxophone (which was great). This EWI (like all AKAI 4000s') has dozens of built-in factory default sounds. Just plug in a 1/4" jack into the unit over to an amplifier and set the voice and volume you'd like and you're off and running.
I am selling because of health reasons that prevent me from playing live anymore and I have not played this unit since 2000. The last time I played the instrument it was playing well. It is missing the battery cover, but this has no effect on the play quality of the instrument. I would suspect that you could easily find a new cover if this is an issue for you. I never played with batteries but preferred an AC power cable. It has eight octaves and a very similar fingering to a sax. Use a sax neck strap. You will need a MIDI 5-pin male-to-male cord and an AC power cable (check Patchman Music--there are also several listed-on eBay). These are not provided but are relatively inexpensive. The mouthpiece still has lots of life and includes a mouthpiece cover.
This EWI is complete with a Junchuan, (like new) soft case gig bag. I will provide more photos of it ASAP.
